The housing recovery is well under way. Property prices in many parts of the UK are now equal to the highest ever values recorded in 2007 and few parts of the UK are even higher. Almost all forecasters are predicting further growth for the next 5 years plus.
Rightmove are forecasting an 8% increase in average house prices in 2014. There will be some areas with house price growth well in excess of 10% in 2014.

Some of the questions you could ask are:
1. What is the real value of my home
2. How much equity do I have
3. Are there any mortgage redemption charges
4. Do I believe house prices will continue to grow
5. Do I understand how some properties make investors an income
6. Are there any tax incentives if I keep the property and sell in the future when the value has increased
7. Where can I get reliable honest advice
As a seasoned investor; portfolio developer and manager I would urge everyone considering selling their home to find their local ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents) letting agent and speak to that agents recommended financial services expert for wealth advice.
Once you are informed you will be in a better position to decide what is best for you; your family and your future plans. You should not expect to have to pay for this advice.
