Follow the slope down the hill and you’ll soon be upon the dramatic sweep of Swansea Bay, passing Swansea University’s Singleton campus as well as the hospital.
Although Sketty is technically an urban enclave, it has a decidedly ‘villagey’ feel. It certainly has everything a good village should. It has its own pub, the Viv’s as it’s affectionately known, a church and church hall, post office, supermarkets, petrol station, vet, take-aways as well as hipster cool coffee houses.
There are rows of independent shops and cafes ranging from dog groomers, school uniform suppliers and zero-waste shops to vintage emporiums, interior designers and DIY stores.
As to the styles of properties, they are rather varied with plenty of options suiting those just starting and retirees up to anyone and everyone in between.
