The Rise of The Huf Haus

The Huf Haus is becoming increasingly more popular across the UK so, with more and more of the quirky looking homes popping up, we decided to take a look behind the frame and see what all the fuss these prefab homes and creating is all about.

Pre-fabricated homes aren’t a new thing, in fact many of them were thrown up in the UK shortly after the Second World War to help counteract the housing shortage that the war left behind. The Huf Haus isn’t a new concept but actually date back to 1912 in the Westerwald region of Germany.

Whilst they’re increasing in popularity and have certainly gained a host of media attention, the Huf Haus is a relatively new concept across the UK, so you can imagine our surprise to see a pretty stunning one hit the market with Belvoir Leamington Spa. Understandably it was let out quickly with new prospects desperate to take a look around the luxury pad.

With huge windows, and ultra-modern finish throughout and those bold black lines, it made for an extremely unique home that we’re sure the new tenant will be showing off very soon…we just hope we get an invite to the house warming!

The increased popularity of this style of quick-build home certainly comes off the back of inspirational shows such as Grand Designs which have been setting dream home goals for years. It’s no wonder these have been so popular with residents able to move in to their new home around 4 months after building commences…it takes just a week to build the initial shell!

With the speed in which they can be built, plus new models that can offer complete energy efficiency, along with the outstanding flexibility and build quality that is offered from these unique timber-framed homes, we can certainly picture more and more of these coming to the UK market very soon!
