Be in...Brentwood!

In recent years, this quaint Essex town has become the famous home of hit reality TV show, The Only Way is Essex. However, there is so much more to Brentwood than fake tans and fall-outs, take the open countryside and easy access to London for example.

The town, which also houses Ford’s UK headquarters has plenty of employment opportunity is becoming more and more popular with city workers that are looking to ditch city living and commute on a day to day basis. The fantastic array of schools, job opportunities and plenty of activities for weekends and downtime make Brentwood an extremely viable option when you’re moving.

There are plenty of amenities close by, the town houses a large Sainsbury’s Supermarket and the bustling high street hosts some large retail brands including Next, Monsoon and Fatface as well as some smaller independent stores including TOWIE star Gemma Collins’ self-titled store, Minnies Boutique and the Bizara luxury card shop. Food wise, Brentwood certainly comes packing with both national chains and local businesses on and off of the high street. Chains such as Zizzi, Nandos and Prezzo are all available in the town, with local landmarks including the famous Sugar Hut and Charlie’s Deli.

Brentwood is a massively popular location for commuters sitting just a 30-minute train journey from The City, however, if you’re looking at a change in job, the town also offers some good employment opportunities. As mentioned before, the nearby village of Warley is home to Ford’s UK Headquarters, other major employers in the area include Sky and Nuffield Health. Currently, the average salary for the area sits at a little over £31,000.

When it comes to property, Zoopla reports that Brentwood’s average house price sits around £472,060. As well as a fantastic town centre, Brentwood also boasts pretty villages and the beautiful Essex countryside.

If you’ve got kids, Brentwood is a safe bet, the area has a great range of state and private schools. The primary schools range from OFSTED rating Good to Outstanding and many of the Secondary Schools are rated as Outstanding.
