Wandsworth is a friendly little neighbourhood in South West London, consisting of a variety of housing and several green commons. Known for its riverside location and laid back vibe, it is very popular amongst young professionals making the city commute. It is well connected to transport routes and is served by several tube stations including Tooting Broadway, Balham, East Putney, Clapham South and Clapham Common. Sitting alongside monuments such as the Power Station, Albert Bridge and Battersea Park- there is plenty for you to discover in this peaceful borough. With plenty of great restaurants, pubs, cafes, shops and museums, it really does have a great community spirit.

Wandsworth is home to many of green spaces, perfect for fitness, relaxation or simply just an afternoon stroll. You have the common which is one of the largest open spaces in the area and is the ultimate outdoor playground. With an athletics track, outdoor swimming pool, nature trail, lake, sports pitches and a tennis courts- it is the perfect place to keep the kids entertained. Another beautiful space nearby is Battersea park, full of nature and lots of activity, there is plenty to explore and even a zoo!  

If you have a taste for coffee, visit Grind café for the perfect coffee stop. Carefully selected from the World’s finest grown Arabica coffee, they make the best cappuccinos and mochas and also serve a selection of sweet treats. Other great coffee shops nearby are the Birdhouse, Ben’s Canteen and Café Fleur. If you fancy a little shopping trip, Southside shopping centre will attend to all of your needs. Home to top brands, desirable food outlets, a great cinema and a selection of gyms- you can have everything you need all under one roof.

As you will be aware, rent and house prices have gone up significantly in the last few years and you are most likely thinking that being in London Wandsworth is expensive. But, compared to other areas Wandsworth still fares well. It also has the second cheapest council tax in the whole of the country and is the safest borough in inner London for recorded crime- pretty good ay.

The average price for property in Wandsworth stood at £760,486 in August 2018. This is a rise of 0.89% in the last three months (since May 2018) and fall of 1.95% since 12 months ago. In terms of property types, flats in Wandsworth sold for an average of £129,622 and terraced houses for £215,538. This is according to the current Zoopla estimates.
