Holding a fantastic calendar of events, Leicester has an array of things to do and see. If you are after a culture trip, the city is renowned for its collection of museums and galleries. A natural number one attraction is the King Richard lll visitors centre, built right next to where the remains of the 15th century king were discovered in 2012. Other favourites are the Cathedral, New Walk Museum and Art Gallery and The National Space Centre.

Leicester is very passionate about sport, from football and rugby to basketball and cycling. You can take a tour of the King Power Stadium, home of the 2016 Premier League champions Leicester City. Watch the famous Leicester Tigers rugby club play at Welford Road, or even catch the elite cyclists in the Leicester Castle Classic every August. There are also many parks and open spaces for you to explore and take some time out- Abbey Park, Leicester's riverside and Aylestone Meadows are to name a few. 

One of the biggest markets in Europe, Leicester market is a must when it comes to exploring the city. Home to hundreds of stalls, it is open 6 days a week and located right in the heart of the city. Renowned for its fresh fruit and vegetable stalls, it also hosts jewellery, clothes, books and flowers- functioning for more than 800 years, it really is a little gem. For a multitude of restaurants and stores, the Highcross shopping complex has everything you could wish for all under one roof. Or why not explore the windy cobbled streets of The Lanes, perfect for quaint cafes, independent stores and boutiques.

Leicester is an up and coming city, thriving with potential. The average price for property in Leicester stood at £231,169 in October 2018. This is a fall of 0.82% in the last three months (since July 2018) and rise of 3.58% since 12 months ago. In terms of property types, flats in Leicester sold for an average of £139,304 and terraced houses for £165,037. This is according to the current Zoopla estimates.
