Belvoir Lettings Melton Mowbray are celebrating a 100% Audit completion, an awesome 5th year in a row.
The Audit, carried out by our central office, scrutinises our bank accounts, landlord and tenant records, and our operating processes. They check the speed in which payments are made to landlords once tenants have paid the rent to our clients account. Everything on the extensive checklist is designed to ensure that we are meeting all legislation requirements for our landlords. Ensuring we are members of a property redress scheme and we hold Client Money Protection Insurance so landlords and tenants money is not at risk.
Letting property and being a good letting agent is more than just answering the phone and accompanying viewings. We have to be sure the paperwork and legal documents required for letting are in place and correct. If there is a problem then we will rely on this to ensure a landlord can gain possession of their property.
Part of being a franchise means we get support and training when legislation changes and processes need to be updated but thats only helpful if it is put into action. Passing the audit with 100% makes all the hard work worth it! The audit is an annual opportunity to have an outsider check our systems and make sure we haven’t missed anything.
