An encounter with a member of Bedfordshire Central Council at the local Networking at Dunstable morning event before Christmas led to Daniel Bourke being invited to talk to some Year 11 and 6th form pupils at the recent All Saints Academy Career Fair.
Following the recent opening of the Belvoir Letting Specialist in Church St Dunstable it was felt that Daniel was ideally placed to give a talk on Business and Marketing.
Over 2 days Daniel held two sessions with a number of eager pupils about his previous job, his reason for starting a career in Lettings and the whole process involved in researching and starting the business. They then covered the topic of Marketing and advertising and discussed the various means of marketing and the impact from traditional newspaper advertising to the more modern form of social media advertising in the form of Facbook and Twitter.
Daniel said “I think it’s important to focus on helping the pupils understand the real life demands of the world of work and prepare them for their future. I’m sure the pupils gained an insight into the business world, and I was only too pleased to pass on my knowledge and experiences to them in the same way that we are only too pleased to discuss all aspects of the letting process with any Landlords and Tenants that visit are shop”
