Belvoir Bury – Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

Our Office – we're Open For Business as we have been since the start of the pandemic, however we have changed some of our processes to ensure safety for staff and clients. Our offices are currently shut to walk-in appointments. Please arrange an appointment directly with a member of staff. All other business operations are continuing as normal with the majority of the team set up and working from home. We are available by phone & email as usual, however we do ask that you bear with us during this time and allow more time for responses. We will ensure that all our clients needs are addressed accordingly whilst adhering to the government guidelines. 

Rental Payments – currently there are no changes for rental payments and they will be due as normal for the foreseeable future. The government have set out extensive plans to support workers whose jobs have been affected by this situation, so we hope the financial impact of the virus will be minimal, however we are sensitive to the fact that individual circumstances in terms on employment vary greatly for instance those who are self-employed. Therefore if you have any concerns about paying your rent due to changes in your personal circumstances, please get in touch with our office to discuss. Alternatively, please follow the guidance from the Department of Work & Pensions as advised by SafeAgent.

Viewings – in-person viewings are available on certain properties, please get in touch to discuss. We have successfully implemented virtual viewings and have continued to Let properties during this time. If you are interested in a property please contact us to discuss your options whether this be to view via video call/virtual viewings.

Routine Visits – all routine visits are postponed until further notice to minimise social contact throughout this time.

Check Out Reports – we will be undertaking check-outs after keys have been returned and after a 48 hour grace period of the property being empty. 

Maintenance & Gas Safety Certificates – Please continue to report issues via FixFlo, however only essential jobs will be being completed at this time. Please bear with us during this busy time as it is anticipated some contractors will be unable to work, whilst others may have more jobs than usual to deal with. Furthermore we will assess each issue individually to ensure minimal social contact with tenant and contractor when repairs are taking place. We will keep you updated as best as possible throughout the process.

Sales Progression - this will continue as best as possible with our team being available to contact via phone and email. 

New Listings/Valuations – If you are looking to sell or rent your property please get in touch. We will be able to discuss your options and we are now able to do appraisals online or in-person whichever is your preference. Property photography will take place in houses with a maxiumum of 1 person at home to allow a member of staff in and whilst maintaining 2m distance at all times. Our staff will be wearing gloves and a facemask for the duration of the visit. We have adapted our approach and continue to be successful in lettings and selling properties during this time.

Please Note - During these unprecedented times we continue to amend our processes to follow the government guidance as it is updated.  As such we have put in place measures which allow physical viewings of properties and property valuations under certain circumstances when allowed by the government guidance.  This is being carefully balanced and monitored with the social distancing and safety measures we must put in place to protect the staff and the public.  We apologise that we may ask more questions than normal but this is to protect all parties and we must ask you to follow certain advice and actions.  Clearly all details of the virus and its transition are not yet known and we cannot be held liable for this, as such it is your decision if you wish to allow people into your home or choose to do viewings in person.  If you do not wish to do this please simply let it be known to staff.  If you have any questions about our procedures please ask a staff member, we are here to help and work with you through this difficult time.
