Welcome to our Belvoir Shrewsbury Office.

 

 

At Belvoir Shrewsbury we take the property business seriously. All members of staff are local property experts, and most hold either a BTEC Level 4 Professional Diploma in Residential Letting and Management, or have been fully trained to be compliant in all matters of Estate Agency.

I served with the Royal Engineers for nearly 30 years on construction sites and in operational roles, specialising in engineering and human resources. I left to run this business; in a sense, I went from the ridiculous - designing, building and destroying bridges and roads - to the sublime, finding homes for individuals and their families on a daily basis. I was impressed with what Belvoir had to offer but, more importantly for me, Belvoir replicated my ethics, so I took a leap of faith and have not looked back. It has been a very positive experience in which all my goals have been satisfied.”

After leaving school, I cut my teeth in the property consultancy world working in my Dad’s business here in Shrewsbury for three years during each summer holiday whilst at Uni. After gaining a degree in History, I joined Chestertons in London in 2007 and in the Spring of 2013 became an Associate Director running Fulham lettings. Having developed a wealth of experience and knowledge in the property industry, it’s the perfect time to return home to Shropshire.

GLEN EVANS - OFFICE MANAGER

I have been working in lettings for more than a decade, previously at Belvoir Shrewsbury between 2004-2007. I re-joined the team last year following nine years of managing an independent Letting Agency in Cheltenham. Having spent my childhood in the Far East, I have since travelled extensively and moved frequently with my family to various different locations, abroad and around the UK. I am well acquainted with the vagaries and stresses that come with constantly having to move house and also the joys in selecting a new home and making sure it feels just right. Now settled back in the tranquil, familiar Shropshire countryside, I've thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with the team, all of whom are experienced professional negotiators and managers dedicated to the franchise.

I began working with Belvoir in 2004; however, I was first introduced in 2000 when Belvoir let out my property for me (which they continue to do to this date, including subsequent properties). I find my job in Property Management enormously interesting …and challenging! No two days are the same here, as the people and properties we manage vary immensely. My job is certainly never boring! After a background in teaching, as a PE and ICT trainer, I decided on a career change and moved to a charitable lettings agency, where for a number of years I worked part time with both the CofE and to house the homeless, we helped families budget responsibly, to maintain their tenancies – it was invaluable and I learned a great deal! After joining Belvoir two years ago, I was given the opportunity to move into Sales and Marketing and now work in our Estate Agency. Happily, our team here in Shrewsbury is the most productive and professional I’ve ever worked with (the most caring...& the most fun!) LYDIA HYNE - LETTINGS NEGOTIATOR

I have been working for Belvoir for three years now, on Saturdays, whilst studying during the week.  In October 2016 I became full-time as a Lettings Negotiator. My job is multifaceted and versatile which keeps it very interesting, I'm a 'people person' and particularly enjoy helping families and individuals to find their ideal home, in that respect I see my role here not only as a property negotiator but also as a facilitator, liaising with agents, landlords, tenants and contractors.

GEORGE HYNE - DEPUTY PROPERTY MANAGER

I have recently graduated from The University of Liverpool where I completed by LLB in Law with Business. Having worked for Belvoir in the past it seemed rather fitting to return to the company again, upon my move back to Shropshire.
