Rightmove Stats – Sellers and Landlords, how to beat the New Year rush!

Are you looking at selling or letting your house soon but not sure when to put it on the market?

If that’s the case, please read on and we’ll give you some useful information on how to dramatically impact your chances of selling or renting your property.

Rightmove have provided us with some interesting stats on traffic received during the Christmas and New Year period. There’s an obvious drop on Christmas Day but by 2nd January the hits are almost up to the 40 million mark and staying around this mark all the way through the end of January.

When we compare the 21st December with the 2nd January we can see that the amount of traffic has almost doubled in a period of less than two weeks!

Why this is the case is due to the adage of “New Year, New Start”, most people have finished with the festivities by that point and they want to find somewhere new. After all there’s some lucky people out there who need bigger houses to store all the new gifts they received.

How does this impact sellers or landlords?

if you’re looking to sell or let early in 2019, you need to ‘beat the Post-Christmas rush’ and get your property online to make the most of those extra potential buyers and tenants who are out there looking.

Don’t worry though because if you instruct us by mid-December we’ll be able to arrange everything in time to get your property online by that peak advertising date.

With all our sales and lettings properties, professional photos are included so people will take notice of how great your house looks! We’re experts in the Mansfield and Nottinghamshire area, and as an independently run franchise of Belvoir you can be sure of local expertise with the professionalism of a recognised brand.
