Belvoir Newcaslte – Under – Lyme are taking part in football shirt Friday
On April the 26th we are celebrating football shirt Friday, so our staff will be in office wearing football shirts to ensure we are doing our bit. Football shirt Friday is one of many events the Bobby Moore Fund has set up which is all in aid of Bowel Cancer awareness month.
Bowel Cancer is the fourth most popular cancer in the UK and amongst that its the second biggest cause of death amongst cancer types where 44 people per day die of bowel cancer in the UK alone. The Bobby Moore Fund was set up when the famous football player, Bobby Moore passed away of bowel cancer at the age of 51. Stephanie Moore set up the Bobby Moore fund in 1993 shortly after her husbands passing which is in partnership with Cancer Research UK. The chariety has been running for 26years and has now raised over £26million and it continues to raise an incredible amount of money for an amazing cause.
Since the funding has begun death rates from bowel cancer have decreased by 30%. Please donate to the Bobby Moore Fund where ‘ all money raised goes towards our Football Shirt Friday campaign and funds world-class research that has the potential for the greatest impact in ensuring more people survive bowel cancer.’
This is a fantastic cause and something we are proud to take part of. We would be so grateful if you clicked the link and donated.
