Belvoir presents Route 166 Charity

Belvoir recently launched its one-of-a-kind Route 166 charity fundraiser, which will kick of in August 2022.

Ian Maclean, Belvoir’s franchise director, turns 60 in August, and decided to celebrate his birthday by going on a month-long motorbike journey from John O’Groats to Lands’ End. He plans on visiting all the Belvoir offices en-route and raising thousands of pounds for charity along the way.

Maclean won’t be going at it alone. He teamed up with industry figure Andy Solomon who will be joining him on his motorbike journey. The duo will be riding high performance electric motorbikes that are hand built in Italy by Energica Motor Company and donated for the duration of the fundraiser.

The duo will be riding the bikes for six days a week, and they will travel over 3600 miles in 27 days, making the logistics of charging the bikes and keeping to the schedule an exciting challenge. Of course, promoting the concept of environmentally friendly travel along the way.

The two charities chosen for the fundraiser are, Crisis and Just a Drop. Maclean and Solomon strongly believe that Route 166 have the potential to raise thousands of pounds as they’re encouraging all franchises, tenants, and landlords to get involved. Anyone can donate to Crisis and Just a Drop via the Belvoir 166 fundraising page on GivenGain, or they can donate to local charities in their area, and the total will be added to the money raised.
