Which areas around Uxbridge & West Drayton make for great Buy To Let?

This is one of the key questions landlords ask when we discuss property in the area. After all if you get the wrong area longer voids can punish your decision or capital appreciation won’t be what you had hoped for.

Close to West Drayton Station

Key areas at the moment are around West Drayton Station due to the capital growth (up 7% on last year). Competition is fierce for property in that area at the moment with interest generated by Crossrail. Asking prices have increased and estate agents are often achieving them on smaller property in the area.

South Uxbridge

The area along Whitehall Road, Chiltern View Road and The Greenway remains popular with tenants and landlords alike. The many attractions of the area include Brunel, Uxbridge employers and the access to the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines. Studios are currently being advertised at £125,000 in the area.

Royal Lane

The area is still close enough to be attractive to students in the summer and is close to Uxbridge and key employers at Stockley Park and travel connections via the buses and the station at West Drayton.

Although these areas are popular for buy to let it does not mean that other areas are poor choices, a flat in North Uxbridge will let very nicely as will property in Oak Farm Hillingdon or in Hayes or Ruislip, but the area discussed today tend to have a higher concentration of flats available.  I would certainly look at quality opportunties outside this area.

If you would like more useful information call in for coffee at our office on Hillingdon Hill, Uxbridge or give us a call 01895 257935.  We don’t sell homes but love helping buy to let investors find great property tenants will enjoy.
