Latest research has found that the highest yielding destinations for student landlord investment have been reported to be the Northern cities of Glasgow, Manchester and Hull, statistics that Belvoir Sheffield suggest are echoed throughout South Yorkshire.
The research initially conducted by Zoopla found that there was in fact lower profit margins coming from certain southern cities such as Bristol.
The survey took the average asking prices for four bed properties within major student centres, and compares said prices with the average student rents achieved, thus presenting a gross yield.

Here at Belvoir Sheffield we are finding yields in South Yorkshire to be stable and much higher than in the south.
"Yields are often lower from student accommodation, but the consistency of demand makes students a fantastic target market.
