Uxbridge lost trade to Hayes and West Drayton with the advent of the GWR line through these towns when first opened in 1838 and the advent of Crossrail line gives a new lease of life to the railway and the towns.

Having recently taken an overcrowded mid-afternoon train to Paddington from West Drayton, I'm certainly looking forward to the improved service and carriages.
