Evening Standard: London's Crossrail winners: West Drayton to Acton

The Homes and Property section of the Evening Standard yesterday gave a favourable review of the property market in West Drayton and then covers Hayes and Harlington and it’s prospects and current developments.

Uxbridge lost trade to Hayes and West Drayton with the advent of the GWR line through these towns when first opened in 1838 and the advent of Crossrail line gives a new lease of life to the railway and the towns.

Having recently taken an overcrowded mid-afternoon train to Paddington from West Drayton, I’m certainly looking forward to the improved service and carriages.
