I was meeting with a ‘large’ landlord this week that usually finds their tenants by placing adverts online or in the newspapers. She has been doing it for years and has been quite successful. In her words, “she has been lucky not to have had too many incidents!”
She has decided to place the business with a national chain – Belvoir as some of her properties are spread around the country.
I naturally asked why she has decided to use an agent?
She replied ….”we are specialists and she no longer has the time…there is a lot involved in rent management, inspections, insurance, buy to let advice etc. and it’s easier to consolidate the portfolio in one house”.
