In two recent statements, the government minister for housing, MP John Healey, has made the government’s intentions clear on the way forward for regulation of the Private Rented Sector (PRS). Mr Healey has stated that registration for landlords is a ‘certainty’, although his method of implementation of remains uncertain.
A method of registration, already exists in Scotland, and it is thought this is the most likely method to be adopted.
