Mortgage rates and fees continue to fall
The average cost to arrange a mortgage is £264 less than it cost three years ago. The average mortgage rate has also fallen, by 1.16pc. These re the latest figures that have been released by The Legal & General Mortgage Club. The Government’s Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS), which gives banks access to cheap finance in return for lending out cash, has increased the number of mortgages available and helped push down rates.
