Need A Guarantor?

It is common in the current economic and social housing climate that as a tenant, you may be required to supply a guarantor to your application.  Any tenant that would not meet our standard referencing guidelines may be able to secure a tenancy with the addition of an extra person to the contract who can meet our requirements.

A guarantor would be required to support the application and would be jointly liable for both the property and the rental payments and would be fully vetted in a similar way to a tenant.

Should you as a tenant, require a guarantor, they would need to supply us with the following information.

  • A piece of photographic Identification
  • Two proofs of address from their current residence
  • Three months bank statements
  • A completed guarantor application form

Once this information has been supplied we would also look to confirm that the guarantor is earning three times the annual rent and can supply a positive housing reference, as we would with a tenancy application.

If you are looking for a property, and wish to discuss the guarantor process with us, then please do not hesitate to contact us on 01536 267755.
