Stoke-on-Trent will be one of first places in the UK that will be switching to a more sustainable fuel and method of heating by 2027 with its new District Heat Network infrastructure project. Because Stoke-on-Trent is in the West Midlands you can drive in any direction for an hour and be in the next major town such as Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool. If you rather travel by rail you can get to London on a train within ninety minutes.

Manufacturing & Engineering is the biggest enterprise here creating hundreds of jobs yearly as it is ever expanding, beyond the historic Potteries industry. The city centre has benefitted from regeneration plans with the new Smithfield development together with new hotels and office spaces. There are also building works under way building thousands of new homes across the city. An interesting fact is that Stoke-on-Trent is one of the greenest cities in England, with more greenery planted every year by the Council.
