Under review today is a property in Aldenham Drive. It’s on the market for £300,000. So not cheap for a two bed house. The rent is likely to be around £1200-£1250pcm. At £1250 that makes for a gross yield of 5%.
The property looks to be in good condition – but as the agents say it needs modernisation you would want to understand the costs involved. After all at £300,000 there is not a lot of wriggle room left for further work.
Now Aldenham Drive is a relatively new road, it’s just off Lees Road, which runs from Uxbridge Road near the Texaco garage to the roundabouts near Harlington Road. So nice and close to Hillingdon Hospital, well connected for buses to Hayes and Uxbridge and the airport. It’s a trek to the nearest station or underground so good access to buses and parking becomes important.
Given the nice residential road I think the property should offer a good long term investment in Hillingdon.
