Think about the house or flat you want to buy in Sheffield

Welcome to my blog, Rumbles Blog. The blog of probably the most knowledgeable English Bulldog you will ever meet!

This week I’ve been thinking about how important it is to have a clear understanding of whether you want to buy a house or flat in Sheffield when you start looking for your new property. You need to have that clear in your mind before your search starts, just as clear as I have my thoughts about spending all day sleeping, walking, and eating, its a dogs life.

Location is important, particularly in Sheffield where the different areas of the City have their own unique feel and characters. Take a look at some of my previous blogs to get an idea of exactly how much they vary, I’ve done blogs on living in Sheffield City Centre itself, Living in the Devonshire Quarter, living in and around the Hillsborough area of Sheffield, as well as living in Kelham Island.

Think about how you live everyday. Lots of people talk about how the kitchen can be the room in which they spend most of their time, it certainly is for me as it keeps me close to my treats and food. If you like this idea and it fits with how you live then you will want to pay careful attention to this room. A great example is the kitchen in this 4 bedroom town house on Thompson Street in Sheffield which is currently for sale, the kitchen has been made open plan and brings in an adjoining room to make a great kitchen dining area. Similarly, this 5 bedroom house for sale in Lyminton Lane, Treeton, Rotherham, has a great kitchen dining space, ideal for a larger family, it also a great garden that I would love to have to myself to run around in.

It sounds basic, but also consider whether you want a house or flat. You can easily switch between the two when you pay careful consideration to how you live and what time you want to spend looking after your home. The obvious one, is that a flat often has no garden to look after, yet they can still provide spacious and interesting living spaces such as this 2 bedroom apartment for sale at Park Grange Mount in Sheffield S2 which is bright, includes interesting features, and great views of the Sheffield city skyline.

With apartments in Sheffield you can get right in to the city centre if city centre living is what you are after. For example, this 1 bedroom apartment in Sheffield City Centre is located at the prestigious City Lofts development in St Pauls Square and provides prestigious apartment living bang in the centre of Sheffield close to the Millennium Gallery and the Winter Gardens.
