Wyndham Grange Lodge is a stunning Grade II listed building that has been converted to accommodate nine luxury apartments surrounded by a beautiful parkland. Looking into the brief history of this stunning Lodge, it was built during the reign of King George III and went on to be the residency of Colonel Charles Wyndham who was the Governor of the Tower of London. Charles Wyndham moved to the lodge to indulge in his passion for foxhunting. William Chaplin bought the Lodge in 1870 and had it completely remodelled in local stone. Following this in 1920, the Lodge was purchased by Colonel Richard Dalgleish where it would be donated to the town of Melton Mowbray and used as the War Memorial Hospital in honour of those who lost their lives in the Great War. This hospital was used continuously until abandoned in 2002.
