Being entrusted with looking after someone’s largest asset is a privilege and a responsibility we take seriously. We understand it takes time to build relationships and we communicate regularly to gain your trust. We work with landlords up front to explain both their and the tenants’ obligations for repairs and maintenance and provide a full ‘Pre-Let Assessment’ of their property before renting to identify any works required. We carry out regular property inspections during a tenancy and send a written report to the landlord with photos so they can see how the property is being looked after and always provide quotations to the landlord for any repairs needed. We also schedule mandatory works such as gas safety checks and Electrical safety checks so the Landlord can have peace of mind their property is always compliant with regulations. The role can be a challenge and stressful at times, and it requires very good people and communication skills to liaise successfully between landlord, tenant and contractor to find solutions, but I get a lot of job satisfaction from resolving issues and keeping everyone happy – although I do find I drink a lot of coffee!
