Guildford Branch wins Gold Award

A Guildford property lettings specialist has scooped a prestigious national award after increasing his business by a massive 123 per cent last year.

Glenn Wakeham, who owns the Belvoir Lettings office on Woodbridge Road in Guildford was told he had won a Gold award for the ‘Most Improved Office 2013’ at a glittering awards ceremony staged by Belvoir at the Belton Woods Hotel, Grantham in Lincolnshire.

Glenn beat off competition from over 140 other Belvoir offices nationwide to win this top category prize.

He was presented with his trophy by Belvoir’s Chairman, Mike Goddard who, along with celebrity co-host for the evening, comedienne Ruby Wax, recognised Glenn’s business as one of the Group’s 20 ‘high achievers’ of last year.

Mike Goddard said: “The Gold award for the ‘Most Improved Office’ goes to Glenn who submitted an entry that made all the judges smile, but also illustrated that he and his team had increased business by a fantastic 123 per cent.

“This is a very creditable achievement and everyone at Belvoir Guildford is hugely deserving of this accolade. Well done and congratulations to you all.”

In reply, Glenn said: ”Our overall feeling is one of immense pride with a healthy dose of extra motivation to drive things forward even more.

“The team is so pleased to have made it through to the final – and winning the top award is the icing on the cake. It will certainly encourage us all to strive for even greater things, and it also provides an assurance to our clients that we offer a highly professional service geared to meet all of their property letting or management needs.

“Our biggest achievement last year was the coming together of nearly two years of solid work on a new block of 27 flats in Guildford, during which we offered our professional advice on lettings and management issues to the designers and landlord of the building.

“I am pleased to say that we have been very successful in increasing market share locally and we are aiming to be one of the top three agents in the town by this time next year.”
