I was talking to a potential investor the other day and they mentioned that they were focussing more on smaller family homes rather than flats for their portfolio.
I came across this one whilst having a skim through what’s currently available.
It’s being advertised by our colleagues at Remax and it’s a modern, 2-bed semi, just outside the Kingsway.
It looks to be in excellent condition throughout and has an asking price of £105,000, I have no issues with the property as such, my only minor concern is its electric heating, but that's not a deal breaker for me.
I estimate the rent would be around the £580 per month level, maybe slightly higher, that gives a yield of 6%.
Coupled with a capital appreciation of over 22% for the last five years according to Zoopla, I don’t think that’s too shabby at all.
