After chatting to a landlord who is desperate to appear on Homes Under the Hammer I came across this one on an auction site, http://www.futurepropertyauctions.co.uk/property_details.asp?id=1376235.
Now details are sparse but the internal photos look good. With an initial guide price of £52,000 and a conservative rent of £400 per month that’s a yield in excess of 8%, maybe worth a closer look.
Now as with all things I would want a lot more information before I parted with any money, not to mention a look round the block itself, the location is fine, we rent in streets adjacent to this and its handy for the main bus routes into the city centre etc.
Capital appreciation on flats over the last five years has been just over 12%.
However, as said I would certainly want a closer look and as with all thinks property please remember that with higher return may come higher risk.
