Vacancy : Property Lettings Consultant

Responsibilities include :

  • General day to day management of the property portfolio
  • The arrangement of and monitoring of all property maintenance and snagging including safety inspections
  • Tenancy sign ups : including preparation of new contracts, agreements and guarantor agreements
  • Booking/managing property visits, inventories and check outs
  • Follow up non payment of rent
  • Processing of invoices on receipt of them
  • Administration of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme
  • Action renewal deadlines and complete tenancy renewals in all aspects
  • Assist with the creation and service of relevant noticesManagement of utility suppliers and outstanding bills
  • Diary management and maintenance
  • Ensure all properties are ready to let
  • Promotion and referral of insurance products
  • Management and maintenance of key log system
  • Carry out viewings when Lettings Negotiator is not available

Essential Qualities/Experience: 

  • Access to a vehicle ( mileage allowance will be paid)
  • A clean full driving license
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, and the willingness to learn new software packageGood business writing skills , grammar punctuation, and spelling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent approach to customer service/client care
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to self motivate
  • And to work positively in a small team
  • At least 1 years experience in the Property Industry

Desired Qualities and Experience: 

  • Good geographical knowledge of the Bedford area
  • Understanding of the property terminology
  • Confidence in own ability
  • Experience of dealing with difficult people
  • Can work well under pressure
  • Excellent business writing skills
  • Completed training courses in Property Management
  • Professional Membership ( ARLA , AIIC)
  • Experience of Property Industry Software packages ( WinmanCFP, Touchright, VebraAlto, )
  • Flexibility to be able work varied hours and Saturday's as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £16,000.00 /year

 Note: Salary may be negotiable dependent on experience or industry knowledge.

Required education: Secondary education

Required experience: Property Management: 1 year

Required licence or certification: Full UK Driving Licence
