A dynamic young business duo who set out to put added sparkle into Brighton’s local property market have scooped one of the top titles in Belvoir’s national annual awards scheme.

Nathan Crombie and business partner Wai Lam have been named Silver winners in the category ‘Best Franchise of the Year ’category – a title hotly contested by over 170 Belvoir branded property management offices spread throughout the UK.

Both former managers of major high street retailers, they bought the Brighton and Hove franchise from a former Belvoir owner and set out to transform it into one of the market leaders in the region. In 2016 they were accredited with Belvoir’s Acquisition award for the dedication and commitment they put in to take the business to a higher level.

At this year’s ‘high achievers’ awards, staged at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire, Belvoir Chief Operating Officer, Dorian Gonsalves, commended Nathan and Wai on boosting turnover at the business and successfully launching a new property sales service alongside the pre-existing lettings business.

“This is a couple of young, highly motivated franchise owners who have worked really hard to build a phenomenal increase in business levels. In a very short period of time they have not only won the trust of and retained past or existing clients of the previous business, but have been highly successful in expanding the client base.

“They are a force to be watched in the region and are highly deserving of this year’s award.”    

Nathan said: “Wai and I are private landlords ourselves, so we know what standards need to be achieved to deliver service excellence.

“Whilst we have almost doubled the number of managed properties on our books over the past year, our sole focus is on managing the expectations of our clients and the wide range of individual property solutions they each require. Our mission is to deliver very exacting professional advice that will establish us as one of the most proficient and forward looking agents in the region.”

Wai added: “From day one we set realistic targets for where we wanted to be and are delighted with progress so far. We have been getting fantastic on-line feedback and reviews and our marketing and use of social media has certainly helped to cement our reputation.
