I found that a two bedroom terrace on Heather Gardens was bought for £102,000 in 2002. The same property sold for £131,500 in May this year, which is a rise of 29%.
A four bedroom detached house on Harrold Priory sold for £140,000 in the spring of 2001, and was sold again last Winter for £230,000. This is a rather impressive rise of 64%
Rents for detached houses on the estate could achieve between £900 and £100 per month, yields are around 5.2%. I think in terms of a rental investment, there are better properties, such as smaller two or three bedroom semis, but for owner occupation there are some bargains.
