Why would a tenant pick your property?

Think Like a Tenant

As we are all aware, the internet has taken over our lives! So it will come as no surprise that the majority of tenants will look for their next home online and not in this newspaper.
Tenants will go to one of the main property portals, enter the geographical area they are interested in and any other specific criteria, eg. number of bedrooms and price range. They will then browse through the details of matching properties, select those that catch their eye and contact the agents concerned for more information and potentially a viewing.
If you have a 2 bedroom terraced house in Southsea then good news, these are the most in demand property type. But what is your agent doing to make your property stand out from the crowd and ensure that you get your pick of tenants?
Think like a tenant and search online for properties like yours. Would you call your agent for a viewing?
If your property is shown with only one picture (or none), or if the description is uninspiring or badly written, then chances are you wouldn’t pick up the phone; neither will your potential tenants!
