In October, new regulations come into force that require all properties in the private rental sector to have smoke detectors on each floor and carbon monoxide detectors in every room that has solid fuel heating such as coal or a wood burner.

At Belvoir we always try to be ahead of the game and we have found out that Berkshire Fire Service have thousands of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to give away free to Landlords that have rental properties in Berkshire. Yes thats right, FREE!!!

Us Landlords don't get much support from the powers that be but on those rare occassions that we get some, we should take full advantage.

Acting now while stocks last will make you compliant with the new regulations and enhance the safety of your tenants, plus it will save you a few pennies.

Contact your local fire station for details.

If there are other aspects of regulation that you want to ensure you are up to date with then why not pop into our office for a chat.
