General Description
Nether Edge is an attractive, desirable, green and leafy suburb with it’s own village centre and close to the many shops and restaurants and the Antiques Quarter on Abbeydale Road. It’s about a thirty-minute walk to the city centre and only a fifteen-minutes to Ecclesall Road. A ten-minute drive to the city center and motorway links via the A61. The centre of Nether Edge has all the small conveniences that you need and make for a village feel to the area. There’s a local Sainsbury’s, butchers, barbers, two independent and excellent cafés – Café 9 and Homemade.
There are several lettings agent in Nether Edge. Belvoir Sheffield also provides letting services within this area. The majority of properties within S7 are traditional housing, however in the Nether Edge area there is a large amount of flat block developments. Other popular areas in S7, such as Abbeydale is predominantly terraced housing, Carter Knowle is mainly made up of semi-detached properties and Millhouses has a majority of Detached properties.
There are multiple parks in the area, this includes Chelsea Park, off Chelsea Road. Chelsea Park is a lovely enclosed park with a small playground. Mount Pleasant Park is closer to the city centre on Abbeydale Road. Larger parks can be found nearby at Meersbrook and Millhouses.

There are Regular bus routes in the No. 22 and No. 10 from Nether edge to the city center.
