Nottinghamshire: Get In The Mood For Halloween

It’s nearly Halloween and our Belvoir offices in Mansfield, Bulwell and Nottingham Central, are preparing for all the activities that will be coming our way this October 31st!

So what have us Nottinghamshire folk got to look forward to this Halloween? Let us enlighten you!

Pick Up a Pumpkin at Maxey’s Farm

If you are wondering what to do with the kids for Halloween, or you and your partner fancy a day out, then get yourself down to Maxey’s Farm in Kirklington. It is 9 miles from Newark and 10 miles from Mansfield.

There are hundreds of pumpkins and other kinds of squash available to choose from and it’s pretty cheap! Prices start from £2 for a small pumpkin. There’s a giant pumpkin bouncy castle, tractor rides and face painting for the little ones, plus ice cream and burgers if you’re feeling peckish. Kids get a dinky wheelbarrow to help the grown-ups transport their pumpkins around the farm.

They’re open 9-5 Monday- Sunday so there’s plenty of time to pick up a pumpkin. Pick up a pumpkin finishes on October 31st.

Terror Tours at The Galleries of Justice

The Galleries of Justice are freaky enough as they are, but with Halloween looming, things are about to get even scarier, as prison cells that are not normally open to the public are made accessible to those who dare.

Watch out for various characters cropping up during your venture and marvel in the witch trials and live scare shows taking place. Tickets are £9.95 and you can get them from here

Halloween Spooky Breakfast at The Punch Bowl, Mapperley

If you fancy getting your spook on in the morning with the kids then pop along to the Punch Bowl’s spooky Halloween breakfast, starting at 9:30am and on until 11:00am on Monday October 31st.

There will be special character guests in the form of Ursula from The Little Mermaid and Darth Vader. Breakfast will include cereal, pancakes and toast (plus party games).

Can’t make it in the morning? From 4pm-8pm the Children’s Halloween Disco Party will be in full swing. Kids get a meal, there’s a fancy dress competition, apple bobbing and prizes.

Tickets to the Breakfast and the Disco are both £4 each for kids (adults get in free). Private message The Punch Bowl on Facebook to reserve your space and then pay at the door!

Horror Movie Quiz Night at Bunkers Hill

The Hockley based bar and restaurant will be putting on a Horror movie quiz night on Monday, October 31st 2016 at 8pm.

Visitors can look forward to trivia on classic and modern horror films plus your knowledge will be put to the test with horror movie soundtracks and sound effects, plus a picture round.

There will be food and drink offers aplenty for those that are dressed for the occasion!
