Formerly a village on the outskirts of Peterborough, Stanground is now a suburb of the city in its own right. With a population of 7,633 there’s a pervasive sense of community in Stanground, while you get all the benefits of living just two miles from a city centre. Fan of the great outdoors? Lace up your walking boots and take a hike around Stanground Woods – a fine place to find a little escapism at any time of year. Also on your doorstep is Stanground Wash, a 26-hectare nature reserve where you can spot snipe, redshank and sandpiper birds. Don’t forget your binoculars!
