Congleton continues to be a good location for letting. The local economy is buoyant and the workforce is skilled, providing a secure platform for housing demand.
New housing developments are springing up round and about; Morris Homes are developing a site in Arclid which will be starting this summer and an exclusive one at Forge Mill towards the centre of town.

House prices in March for the Cheshire East region increased by 0.3%* for all properties which shows that house prices are starting to recover. Interestingly in March there was a hive of activity in the buy-to-let sector where investment landlords were rushing to purchase ahead of the increase in stamp duty for second homes. This will have had a slight inflationary effect for this month but we'll see what happens in the coming months.
