Ipswich hosted the FIFTH annual multicultural festival in Alexandra Park, yesterday.

The 1 Big Multicultural Festival, organised by the Bangladeshi Support Centre (BSC), was a vibrant, very well attended, family day. It featured music, dancing, food and sport from across Europe and Asia. With local radio station Town 102 also in attendance.

Live music and dance reflected Bangladeshi, Indian, Polish, Chinese, African, Caribbean, Kurdish and other national groups that live in Suffolk.

Great Britain was also well represented by local bands including The B.Goodes, Turntable, Jackknife Horsebox and X Factor contestant Jade Peters.

Lee and Jenna took the opportunity to attend, with their three children, to raise money for Macmillan, by squeezing as many balloons as possible into their Belvoir branded car. They had such a fun day and a brilliant response. Many guesses were had for the actual number of balloons and the winner was the only one to guess the ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY balloons. They won a £50 voucher for M&S which Belvoir Ipswich kindly donated.

Next year the event is looking to be bigger and better, keep an eye out for it!!
