A landlord with a property on Farmside Gardens recently called our office to ask whether Milebush Road might be a better rental investment than Farmside Gardens. When we compared the two locations, we found that Farmside Gardens is made up of three bedroomed terraced properties which are former MOD accommodation. On average they sell at around £154,950 and can rent at around £800 per month.
When we compared possible annual yields things became very interesting, as we found that Milebush Road could achieve 4.2% but on Farmside Gardens annual yields could be 50% more, at around 6.1%. However, it is important to remember that potential annual yields are not the only reason to choose an investment property. The average value of property on Farmside Gardens has risen by 32% since 2002, but properties on Milebush Road have risen by 92%.
