Britain's Celebrity Landlords including Liverpool's Robbie Fowler

From globally recognised actors to international footballers – oh, and not forgetting reality TV ‘stars’ – the buy-to-let game is attracting all kinds of celebrities. Including these five…

Robbie Fowler (former footballer)

One of the genuine property moguls on this list, former Liverpool, Leeds United and Manchester City striker Robbie Fowler has moved beyond his portfolio to open his very own property academy.

Not content with a notoriously shrewd buy-to-let business, the man nicknamed ‘God’ by Liverpool fans is now sharing his property prophecies to wannabe landlords and investors throughout the UK.

Daniel Radcliffe (actor)

If defeating Lord Voldermort in the Harry Potter series wasn’t a difficult enough battle, British actor Daniel Radcliffe has launched a full on assault on the property market.

Radcliffe, 26, has a property empire surpassing £10million with real estate spanning from Fulham, West London, through to SoHo in New York.

With more leading roles on the horizon, expect Radcliffe to invest further in the buy-to-let market in the coming years.

Craig Phillips (television personality)

Perhaps best known for winning the inaugural Big Brother series, Craig Phillip has since embarked on a career as a television personality and a DIY expert.

However, even before he shot to fame, Phillips had bought and renovated his first house. And since giving away his BB prize money, he’s amassed an enviable property portfolio, making him one of the more successful reality TV personalities.

Having developed over 40 properties and accrued a reported fortune in excess of £10million, Phillips has demonstrated a sharp business mind to match his bubbly on-screen personality.

Andy Cole (former footballer)

As well as competing against Fowler on the football field in the ‘90s and ‘00s, the former Manchester United forward also holds his own in the property market.

He may have a smaller portfolio than Fowler, but his investments have still proved fruitful. “I don’t think you can go wrong with investing in bricks and mortar,” Cole said in the Telegraph.

It may struggle to compete with the earnings of a Premier League footballer, but the ex-pro still ranks his property foray as his best business decision.

Rupert Grint (actor)

After rising to fame as trusty sidekick to Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter, the actor now has a property portfolio worth in excess of £12m.

Whilst his character in the movies was famed for his misfortune, the same can’t be said for real-life – Grint has established a successful company called Eevil Plan Properties.
