Belvoir Group expands estate agency business through strategic alliance with The Nottingham

We’re excited to announce a new partnership between ourselves and Nottingham based building society, The Nottingham.

Going forwards, the vast majority of The Nottingham’s estate agency and lettings activity will transfer over to the Belvoir Group, with The Nottingham ceasing trading for new estate agency and lettings operations at the end of August.

What does this mean for our landlords?

This change will significantly increase house sales in new locations and what this means for our landlords is that we will now have a Belvoir desk and property advisor in a further 6 locations across the city.

We will also have advertising window space and brand awareness on high streets such as Arnold, Hucknall, Sherwood, Netherfield, Wollaton and Mapperley, which we didn’t have before.

Within these branches will be a pod system, where any landlord will be able to communicate with any branch from all locations so this should make things more convenient for not only our landlords but also our tenants too.

Chief executive officer of The Nottingham, David Marlow has said “we believe the model is in our members’ best interest and for the long term success and sustainability of the society is to deliver an estate agency and lettings proposition through an expert partner”

An exciting and mutually beneficial opportunity

Belvoir’s chief executive Dorian Gonsalves adds: “This is an exciting and mutually beneficial opportunity for both companies … Belvoir and The Nottingham share the same ethos of ensuring that the customer is always at the centre of everything within the business.

“This strategic alliance allows our group brands – which consist of Belvoir, Newton Fallowell, Northwood and Lovelle – to provide all Nottingham members with a seamless estate agency service, either from our shared or stand-alone locations throughout the UK. This alliance also enables our franchisees to open in new locations, further increasing the group’s footprint.”

Lloyd Rumbold Director of Nottinghamshire franchises, Nottingham Central, West and Mansfield echos the alliance and synergies between the two company’s, adding ‘the increased convenience afforded to our clients by having more local branches, in key Nottinghamshire towns, and the abilities that will exist to communicate live between branches, serves to create a whole new investor experience that is also aligned to our marketing abilities’. The close links both companies have to Nottingham, far exceed their namesakes and with this the increased opportunities for their clients and investors will no doubt be abundant.
