Local Information

Brentwood is situated in south west Essex and is approximately 18 miles from London.

The town offers a range of shops catering for your everyday requirements, whatever you need, nothing will be too far away. Brentwood also offers a selection of bars and clubs but if it's a big night out in the city or a west end show that you fancy then London is a short journey on the train.

Brentwood has a wealth of schools: Infant, Junior, Primary and Secondary. Brentwood County High School and Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School are both to be found in the town. The renowned Brentwood School and Brentwood Prepatory School provide public school education to Brentwood and the surrounding area.

Brentwood has over 1200 hectares of woodlands, three country parks and lots of farmland. Footpaths link Thorndon Country Park, Little Warley and Childerditch Common to create an extensive area of woodland, parklands and commons to the south of the town.
Brentwood will be a host venue for the 2012 Olympic Games cross country mountain biking competition.

The multipurpose Brentwood Centre offers not only the best in sporting facilities but is also capable of seating 2000 people for rock concerts, classical and choral music, comedy and international sporting events.

Brentwood has a main line with regular trains to London Liverpool Street, journey time 38 minutes.
Rail services to Norwich, Southend Victoria and Shoeburyness are all accessible from Brentwood.
Bus routes throughout the Borough extend into Essex for trips to nearby Lakeside and Bluewater shopping centres.

Stansted airport is thirty minutes away, Heathrow and London City airport are also easily accessible.

Excellent road connections: M25, A12 and A127 all very local.

Harwich and Felixstowe ferry terminals and their gateways to Europe are 90 minutes drive up the A12.
